WELCOME TO RIDGEWOOD HIGH SCHOOL

High school includes grades nine through twelve.

High school students at Ridgewood are engaged in a challenging college preparatory curriculum. Students must earn 23 Carnegie units for graduation which include:

four years of English
three years of mathematics
two years of foreign language
three years of laboratory science
four years of civics, American history, world history, economics, and computer science.
two years of health and physical education

Electives from which a student may choose include art, typing, journalism, speech, debate, and band.

An accelerated honors math program is available throughout the high school years, and independent study, as well as participation in the advanced placement examinations, is encouraged.

High school students have access to a wide variety of extra and co-curricular activities such as Student Council, Peer Helpers, Mu Alpha Theta, Beta Club, Key Club, Excalibur Science Honor Society, athletics, Cheerleaders, Band, and school yearbook and newspaper staffs.

Due to the vigorous academic program and the opportunity for individual growth fostered by small class sizes, Ridgewood graduates are well-prepared to successfully confront the challenges of college academia.
