WELCOME TO RIDGEWOOD MIDDLE SCHOOL

The middle school includes grades five through eight.

Ridgewood employs a middle school principal to oversee grades five through eight and develop, in conjunction with the counselor and headmaster, programming and curriculum appropriate to the special needs of these students.

The middle school program includes English, mathematics, reading, spelling, physical education, science, computer science, music, social studies, speech and art.

All courses are taught by high school specialists insuring a high correlation of goals and curriculum with the high school. Math and English courses are advanced by one year. Middle school students receive one high school credit in English, one high school credit in physical science, and may receive high school honors credit in Algebra I.

Middle school students have access to a variety of extra and co-curricular activities such as the Library Club, Science Club, school band, dance team, and athletics
